SNL 50 Homecoming Concert

Radio City Music Hall, New York City

February 14, 2025

Role: Wardrobe Operations

Locations: NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, hotel staging

Format: Live broadcast on Peacock

I supported wardrobe operations for a once-in-a-generation broadcast, moving people and garments across three active sites so talent hit stage camera-ready and on time. The show combined a live audience, rapid scenic changes, automation windows, and VIP traffic, which required precise backstage coordination, respect for lockouts, and disciplined communication across departments.

Key contributions

• Coordinated wardrobe logistics across NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, and hotel staging, aligned call times and handoffs with the master schedule and deck movement plans.

• Built satellite wardrobe rooms in nearby hotels, fully equipped with racks, labeling, quick-change supplies, and presets for high-profile talent, with documented traffic patterns and safety zones to keep flows clear.

• Managed secure transport and chain-of-custody for high-value garments, maintained inventory order, and prepped looks for quick retrieval.

• Supported procurement and vendor pickups across Manhattan under tight timelines, prioritized by show criticality and the running order.

• Assisted during rehearsals and the live broadcast, tracked notes in real time, issued change logs, and adjusted presets as cues evolved.

• Partnered with stage management, security, talent wranglers, scenic, automation, and rigging to keep quick-change areas clear, match movement to deck traffic, and avoid conflicts with scenic carts and automation envelopes.

• Maintained clean comms on show channels, respected lockouts, and escalated risks early to protect timing and safety.

Outcomes

Wardrobe presets and quick changes landed on time. Talent moved cleanly through backstage choke points. No lost or late looks. No movement conflicts with scenic or automation. Department changes were communicated quickly and reflected across rooms, racks, and runner assignments.
